Broker Battle: Who Has the Lowest Fees in 2026?
You are reading Lesson 1 of the broker-battles course.
1. The Spread Test (EURUSD)
We monitored spreads during the London-New York overlap.
- Exness (Zero Account): Averaged 0.0 - 0.1 pips. Even with the $3.50 commission per side, the total cost was ~0.7 pips.
- AvaTrade: Fixed spread of 0.9 pips. Reliable, but mathematically more expensive for scalpers.
- Plus500: Dynamic spread, often widening to 1.2 pips during news.
Winner: Exness. For raw cost efficiency, you cannot beat 0.0 spreads.
2. The Gold (XAUUSD) Test
Gold is the most traded commodity.
- Exness: Spreads as low as 12 cents.
- The Field: Most brokers average 30-40 cents.
Winner: Exness. The difference here is massive for Gold scalpers.
3. The Swap-Free Advantage
Most brokers charge you interest to hold positions overnight.
- Exness: Offers Swap-Free status on Gold, Crypto, and Majors for most regions, even for non-Muslim clients (based on trading volume).
- AvaTrade/Plus500: Charge standard swap rates unless you have a specific Islamic account.
The Winner: Exness
For pure cost reduction, Exness takes the crown. Their volume allows them to offer spreads that smaller brokers simply cannot match. If you are a high-volume trader or a scalper, the math is undeniable.
